Last Friday turned out to be unlucky for a burglar, who literally ran into the arms of the law after raiding a Regent Street store.
The thief had reportedly just carted off several items from the store and was making his escape through Light Street.
His flight ended when he ran past security officers who were just outside the RK Security firm’s headquarters.
The guards apprehended him after a brief struggle. After he was subdued, Security Manager Colin Boodie placed him in handcuffs.
The CEO of RK’s Security Services, Mr. Roshan Khan stopped a passing police officer and assisted in transporting the thief.
The suspect was subsequently handed over to officers at the Alberttown Police Station.
