Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) grabbed first innings points from Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO)
when the Georgetown Cricket Association/Noble House Sea Foods second division two-day tournament continued yesterday.
Batting first at MYO, GCC managed 149 all out with Deonarine Seegobin scoring 44, Steffan Wilson 34 and Manny Forde 22; Richard Latif bagged 5-55 and Chien Gittens 2-24.
MYO were sent packing for 131 in reply. Latif struck 43 while Abdool Kumar made 24 as Devon Lord grabbed 4-23 and Seegobin 3-24. GCC were 20-1 at stumps batting a second time; a lead of 38 with Umesh Budram on nine and Forde on seven. Wilson was the wicket to fall lbw to Latif for two. Play continues today.
