Several more companies are on board for the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, MS 26th annual awards ceremony that would be hosted on Sunday 17th of April at the St. Francis Community Developers Training Centre.
A total of 40 Club members and executives would be honoured for outstanding performance between the periods January to December 2015. Among the players to be honoured would be Brandon Prashad, Slyus Tyndall, Khemraj Mahadeo, Shawn Perriera, Keon Sinclair, Shemaine Campbelle and Erva Giddings.
Starr Computers, Sterling Products, Fitness Express, Goodwood Racing Service, Sueria Manufacturing, Ansa Mcal, Retired Judge Cecil Kennard, Apex Insurance and Obyssey Travel Service are the latest sponsors to come on board for the Award Ceremony, where over $1M in prizes and trophies would be shared out. Starr Computers donated an electronic notebook, while Fitness Express, Goodwood Racing Service, Justice Cecil Kennard and Sterling Products Ltd made financial contribution. Apex Insurance, Ansa Mcal and Sueria Manufacturing donated hampers, while Obyssey Travel Service donated 30 scorebooks to assist less fortunate Clubs.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster expressed gratitude to all the donors and noted that all plans are in place for the successful hosting of the Awards Ceremony.
President David Granger, Patron of the RHTYSC, MS would deliver the feature address while Immediate Past Patron Beverly Harper would be among six awardees of the Club’s highest award, the Dolphin Award of Excellence. Fifteen individuals would be inducted as Honorary member of the RHTYSC, MS while four retired teachers, eight outstanding teachers in the Lower Corentyne area and six Berbice ‘B’ Division police officers would also be honoured under the Club’s Tribute to Heroes programme.
The long standing Secretary/CEO expressed gratitude to all of the donors and make special mention of Mr. J. McDonald of Fitness Express, Chetram Singh of Goodwood Racing Service, Ronald Williams of Apex Insurance, R. Majeed from Starr Computer, Ramsay Ali of Sterling Products Ltd, Frank Sanicharra of Sueria Manufacturing, Troy Khan of Obyssey Travel Service and Retired Judge Cecil Kennard for their continued assistance to the RHTYSC, MS and the honouring of the Club’s heroes.
