The Guyana Amateur Weightlifting Association (GAWA) and member Gym, BE Fitness Gym has scheduled a
‘Best of the Beasts’ Calisthenics and Functional Fitness Challenge for Sunday April 24 at the National Gymnasium from 10am.
In a test of strength and speed, a series of events will be done as tests to be completed in the fastest time possible. “It is a knockout event so only a determined number of fast finishers will qualify to the next round,” GAWA said in a press release.
Registration for the event is $500 and can be completed at the BE Fitness Tower Gym on Main Street. According to the press release, registration closes on Monday. No equipment is required to compete “just a will and strong heart”.

. Farmers Walk (04 x 20 meters)
. Power Lunges (06 x 20 m)
