Mr. Wilton Spencer, Sports Organiser, attached to the Ministry of Education, Department of Sport/National Sports Commission, will be in Bartica Region #7 to conduct a Track and Field Workshop from April 13 – 16, 2016 at the Bartica Community Centre.
The Workshop will commence 09:30hrs daily and participants will come from among the Blind community staff from Rehabilitation Services of the Bartica Regional Hospital and the Community Based Rehabilitation Programme.
Objectives of the workshop are:-
· To train the trainers to conduct Track and Field Training for blind potential athletes and guides (persons with vision)
· To develop proper technique and coordination between guides and athletes.
· To expose all participants to basic guiding skills.
The Training programme is sponsored by the National Sports Commission.
