Dear Editor,
It boggles the mind that Politicians seriously think that they are above the Law. They strut their stuff and pump out their chests as if the world revolves around only them. They are so locked up in their egotism that they think they can manipulate the law of the land at their whim and fancy. Little do they care that many of us are contemptuous of them. How can they get it through their thick skulls that they are citizens like the rest of us. The faster they learn this the better they will be able to perform their jobs.
It is time we hold them to higher standards. We must show them that we will no longer be their pawns. That the work they perform is on our behalf. That we demand from them transparency and accountability. That we are sick and tired of the status quo. That when they perform grave infractions we will come at them like a ton of bricks.
Mr. President, the ball is in your court. We look to you to sanction the intransigent who you selected to be in your Cabinet and in other senior positions. Minister Harmon has interfered in the execution of the law for reasons that make us ordinary citizens suspicious. Your silence in this matter rankles us and eats away at our insides. Step up to the plate Mr President and show that you can be a strong and decisive leader. Lead us out of the doldrums that has dogged us for the past five decades. Remember that actions speak louder than words.
