Competition in the East Demerara Football Association / Jubilee Under-17 tournament is set to continue this weekend with double headers tomorrow and Sunday. The Paradise ground is the venue for tomorrow’s matches from 14:00hrs.
Buxton Stars will open against Plaisance with the home team set to oppose Golden Stars in the feature match. On Sunday at the Victoria ground, Buxton Stars will match skills with BV Triumph United in the opener to be followed by Victoria Kings taking on Mahaica Determinators.
In results from previous matches, Golden Stars were 1-0 winners over Buxton Youth Developers; Victoria Kings edged Ann’s Grove 2-1. Kareem Josiah netted both goals for the winners in the 5th and 63rd minute, while Ann’s Grove’s consolation strike came from the penalty spot, Shamar Brandon converting in the 48th minute.
Buxton Youth Developers and Paradise FC played to a 0-0 draw.
