The Management of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, M.S in a release has congratulated their youth cricketers – Kelvin Sinclair, Junior Sinclair, Kevlon Anderson and Keith Simpson on their selection to the Berbice Under-17 team for the upcoming Berbice Cricket Board Inter County tournament. The entire Club especially their youth counterparts are very proud of their achievements and wished them the best in the tournament, the release stated.
Kelvin Sinclair who recently joined the Club was selected as the Berbice Captain and is a very promising opening batsman and a very penetrative off spinner, while Junior Sinclair, Anderson and Simpson have all proven themselves with both bat and ball. The Club is very proud of the latter trio as they joined us as raw eleven years old and over the years have developed into highly talented players, who are on the verge of breaking into our Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets first division team. We are particularly proud of our junior section, which is the largest in Guyana with close to 120 registered members consisting of both sexes. This section which is administered by our veteran cricket administrators Keith Hicks and Ravin Kissoonlall is also so large that we were forced to field a record three teams in this year’s Berbice Cricket Board Tournament.
We would like to remind our Berbice Under-17 selectees to be committed at all times and to follow the Club’s proven formula of success – sheer hard work, faith in God, belief in our personal talent and discipline. We would also like to express best wishes to the rest of the Berbice cricket team and the Management team of Rabby Saywack and Andre Percival. We are confident that under their management, the proud flag of Berbice Cricket would continue to fly high, the release noted.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
