Seventeen Year-old Prem Persaud struck a fine century as Good Success defeated Sans Souci/Belle Plaine
by 100 runs in a 40-over fixture played on Saturday at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground.
Persaud anchored his team innings, hitting fifteen fours and four sixes as Good Success posted 284-8, batting first. He shared in a third wicket stand of 123 with Kleon Venture after they were reduced to 22-3 before he was removed by Tamesh Challitar for 111. Venture struck six fours and one six in a fluent 51 while Devon Rambarran scored 37. Challitar claimed 2-34, Jaggernauth Manbodh, Siddique Mohamed and Latchman Dindyal had one each.
Sans Souci/Belle Plaine responded with 184-9. Bhumeshwar Ramkissoon scored 48 while Marlon Dindyal made 45 and Derwin Daniells 36. Beesham Moses snared 3-34, Persaud had 2-23 and Imran Khan 2-24.
