Sans Souci and Sans Souci Jaguars have secured their places in the final of the Regal Sport/Trophy
Stall T20 tournament after recording convincing victories in their respective semi final matches played on Sunday in Wakenaam.
Sans Souci defeated Good Success by 20 runs at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Batting first Sans Souci were reduced to 35-5 before Wayne Osbourne and Kumar Persaud added 66 for the sixth-wicket to repair the early damage. Osbourne struck five fours and two sixes in an unbeaten 68 while Persaud made 20.
Jermaine Wolf offered support down the order with 39 while Seon Venture scored 20. Imran Khan had 2-24. Good Success responded with 138 all out in 19.4 overs. They lost a few early wickets before Charles Benjamin and Wazir Khan featured in a fourth-wicket partnership of 55. Banjamin hit three fours in scoring 40 while Khan got 30. Following their demise Good Success struggled against some steady bowling with only Gurnauth Khemraj 19, Shoaib Namaz 18 and Imran Khan 15 offering any resistance.
Galo Persaud had 3-26 while Devon Rambarran and Venture picked up two each. Sans Souci overcame G Square Cavaliers by 55 runs at the said venue. Batting first, Sans Souci Jaguars posted 158-9. Derwin Daniells struck 55, Prem Persaud cracked 40, Dellon Osbourne made 22, Zameer Zaman 20 and Nokta Moses 18; Kamal Khan took 3-24 and Jaggernauth Manbodh 2-30.
G Square Cavaliers were bowled out for 103 in 19.4 overs in reply. Manbodh and Chandrika Ragnauth got 20 each, Khan 18 and Satnarine Sahadeo 15; medium pacer Daniells captured 4-26 and Beesham Moses 2-19. The final will be played on Sunday at the said venue.
