The BCB junior selection panel led by Leslie Solomon has shortlisted 35 players to take part in two trials matches to select the Berbice under-17 team to participate in the upcoming inter county tournament. The matches will be of fifty overs a side and will be played at the Albion Sports Complex on Monday and Tuesday March 21 and 22, 2016 respectively.
According to the release, performances of this weekend matches of the 2016 Memorex under-17 inter club cricket competition will also be taken into consideration.
The shortlisted players are:

The BCB takes the opportunity to say thanks to Anthony Ameerally for sponsoring inter club under-17 cricket competition in the county. Mention was also made of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited, NCN and Tenelec Inc. All of the players are products of these competitions.
