Linden’s Half Mile Bulls shooting guard, Terron Welch won the National Three-point shooting contest Sunday night at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The competition was a part of the Road to Mecca National Club Championships.
The quest to find the best shooter in Guyana began with 32 players from clubs across Guyana. It was shortlisted to 16 after the first round and eight after the second round. Welch scored 19 of an estimated 25 shots to edge Ravens’ Dominic Vincente’s 18 shots. Welch won $20,000 as a result of winning the title.
