Big B’s Restaurant of D’ Edward village, West Bank Berbice has supported the Blairmont Cricket Club (BCC) for the staging of the Roy Fredericks Memorial T20 tournament which is set for March 19 and 20. The entity recently presented a cheque of an undisclosed sum to the club.
Mohamed Samad a representative of the BCC expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the restaurant, while staff member Abeeda Ali congratulated the club on such a venture, adding that they are happy to be part of the competition.
The fundraiser will look to address main concern of the club including covers for the pitch. The club is also hoping to host a Spelling Bee and a Math Quiz for grade six students in Region 5 to prepare them for the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) with the blessing of the Ministry of Education in the latter part of the year.
Among other attractions for the weekend are Domino Competition, live commentary, Ice Cream and Air horns giveaway, Bouncy Castle, Trampoline and live musical entertainment from local artist.
