A vigil which saw the participation of mostly family members was held yesterday at
Carmichael Street, Georgetown, in honour of assassinated activist, Courtney Crum-Ewing.
His mother, Donna Harcourt, who was present at the vigil, said that the family is still coping with his passing.
She also called for swift justice to be served as she remembers her son as being “an ambassador for change and justice”.
Crum-Ewing was gunned down on March 10 last year. The heinous act was committed in the Diamond Housing Scheme, while he was calling for persons to come out and vote in the May 11, 2015 General Elections.
Yesterday, as the vigil was going on, it attracted much attention as some vehicle operators passing by, took the time out to roll down their windows and raised fists in support to the family members, friends and colleagues of Crum-Ewing who, braved the sun as he once did, while the banners and posters fluttered in the wind.
