Prem Persaud, Wayne Osbourne and Imran Khan stroked half centuries when the Regal Sport/Trophy
Stall T20 tournament continued on Sunday in Wakenaam.
Persaud struck an even half century as his team Sans Souci Jaguars defeated Good Success by eight runs at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground. Persaud got support from Siddique Mohamed with 35 as Sans Souci Jaguars posted 180-7, batting first. Wazir Khan claimed 2-15 and Wazir Khan 2-57.
Good Success responded with 173-4. Imran Khan hit a composed 70 while Wazir Khan made 34; Nokta Moses and Derwin Daniels snared two wickets each.
Sans Souci overcame Maria’s Pleasure by four wickets at the said venue. Maria’s Pleasure took first strike and managed 197 all out in 20 overs. Kennard Lewis cracked 70 and Marsh Singh 34; Tavin Budram captured 3-26 and Cleon Venture 2-34. Sans Souci replied with 198-6 in 17.4 overs. Wayne Osbourne smashed 60 and Seon Venture 39. Singh had 2-26.
At Belle Plaine, Sans Souci beat G Square Cavaliers by 20 runs. Sans Souci batted first and made 138-6. Osbourne got 48 and Budram 33. G Square responded with 118 all out in 19.5 overs.
Cavaliers got the better of Zeelandia by 100 runs. Batting first, Cavaliers scored 192-7 while Zeelandia were bowled out for 92 in reply.
The Semi finals will be played on Sunday with Sans Souci playing Good Success at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground and G Square Cavaliers facing Sans Souci Jaguars at Belle Plaine.
