National U19 player Akshaya Persaud struck a robust 162 off 52 balls to give Cornelia Ida a 38-run victory over Multicultural Sports Club (MSC) when the West Demerara President’s Cup T20 tournament continued on Sunday.
Persaud hammered eleven fours and sixteen sixes as Cornelia Ida posted 234-4, batting first at Meten Meer Zorg. Richie Looknauth supported with 39.
MSC responded with 196 all out. A. DeJonge scored 91 with nine fours and six sixes while T. Frank made 34 and M. Albert 30; Ameer Khan snared 3-15 and Naveed Alli 2-9.
