Ever since demitting office, former President of the Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA)
Gregory Rambarran has promised to assist the BVA and those interested in playing the game in whatever way possible. Mr. Rambarran has since been keeping his word with a number of timely donations even while imparting his knowledge as he assists current President Levi Nedd in hosing lectures, seminars and coaching and refereeing.
Rambarran, who recently demitted office after serving a number of years as president, is a trained Physical Education Teacher, a former player, referee and coach.
Among the donations made was a Moleson Volleyball Strategic Board to Orealla Women’s volleyball coach Mr. Brian Felix. A referee’s kit was presented to the Berbice Volleyball Association which was collected by BVA Secretary and National Player Ian Bagot.
Rhonda Felix of the Siparuta female volleyball team received a Mikasa Beach volleyball on behalf of the Siparuta area to assist them in their training.
Orealla female U19 player Andrea Welcome was presented with a Mikasa MVA 300 volleyball on behalf of her team. The presentation was done at a recent forum at Skeldon.
Rambarran has also donated literature which includes periodicals and other books to the BVA, clubs and individuals.
Rambarran whose family also has a long association with the game plans to continue to assist the BVA in any way possible. (Samuel Whyte)
