Providence defeated Herstelling A by four wickets when play in the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association (EBDCA) 50-over tournament continued on Sunday. At Laluni, Herstelling A was bowled out for 179 in 24.4 overs, taking first strike. Rickey Sergeant struck 78, Antonio Anthony 28 and Anand Bharat 22.
Brentnal Ross and Quincy Grimmond claimed four wickets each as Providence responded with 180-6 in 19.1 overs. Terrence De Cunha slammed 61, Grimmond 45 and Lennoz Andrews 26. Bharat had 2-15.
At Farm, Eccles overcame Silverbullet by 33 runs. Batting first, Eccles amassed 222 all out in 38 overs. Kevlin Singh scored 54, Daniel Barker 36 and Kapil Dev 28; Shak Wong captured 4-25 and Colin Benjamin 2-25.
Silverbullet were bowled out for 189 in 36 overs in reply. Raymond Mitchell cracked 58, Gary Ragnauth 28 and Melroy Gomes 22. Barker grabbed 4-17 and E. Rodrigues 3-23.
