Golyn 10/10 Softball cricket…Prem’s and Omesh’s XIs extend unbeaten streak

The Golyn 10/10 softball cricket tournament organized by the Guyana Softball League and sponsored by Trophy Stall and Golyn and Sons continued last weekend with Omesh’s XI and Pream’s XI remaining unbeaten in the third weekend tournament
Results:
Omesh’s XI beat Maracs’ XI by 85 runs:
Omesh XI made 141 -8 in 10 overs (Vickram Kissoon 50, Quincy Jones 43) Zahir Khan took 2-17 for Maracs who fell for 56 in 7 overs.
Mark Ally top scored with 26. Vickram Kissoon completed a good day with 2-18 and Vijai Jairam supported with 2-2.
Pream’s XI defeated West Coast Blazers by 8 wickets:
West Coast Blazers scored a paltry 69 all out in 10 overs with Hemendra Kowlessar making 26 as Salman Khan took 2-6.
In reply Pream XI raced to 70 -2 in 6.2 overs with Rajendra Kumar celebrating his birthday in style by clobbering an unbeaten 40 off 12 balls.
West Coast Blazers defeated Amazon Warriors’ XI by 27 runs:
West Coast Blazers made amends for their loss earlier by scoring a challenging 128- 4 in 10 overs as Leonard Harprashad finished 46 not out, Mohamed Saffie made 43 and Mohamed Ahamad supported with 28.
Amazon Warriors made 101 in10 overs in reply as Chris Sookram hit 37 and Feroze Mohamed (25) shared in a partnership of 43 that nearly won the game for them but the rest of the batting couldn’t keep-up the run rate.
Crossbreed Warriors defeated Power XI by 43 runs:
Cross Breed Warriors made 119 all out in 10 overs with Elton Grant making 40. In reply, Power’s XI were bundled out for 65 in 9.5 overs.
Meanwhile, the one ball manto saw Bharat Kumar advancing to the next round as 10 pairs participated.
