An impressive display of skill and marksmanship by Mae’s Dharshan Persud, who lashed
in a treble in the 24th, 59th and 60th minutes brought a fitting conclusion to the round robin phase of this year’s Milo Under-20 Schools Football Competition on Sunday, at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Persaud, who has been a find since he entered the competition, again showed why is considered amongst the best player in the competition with another mesmerising display against the previously unbeaten St. Rose’s High in the final game on Sunday.
Mae’s coasted to a comfortable 4-1 win which will certainly boost their confidence heading into the round of sixteen this Saturday, at the same venue.
Another school that recorded a morale boosting win was Queenstown that defeated St. John’s College 3-0 through Jermin Padmore, who netted in the 5th and 11th minutes to go with a solitary strike from Vickram Chandranand 53rd minute effort.
