Off-spinner Pradesh Balkishun grabbed 5 wickets for 11 runs off four overs as host Enterprise A defeated Mahaica by nine wickets then the East Coast Demerara Cricket Association 40-over tournament continued on Sunday.
Batting first, Mahaica scored 120 all out in 27.1 overs. Steve Chan made 41, Darshan Persaud 30 and Devanand Budram 17; Vivian Albert supported Balkishun with 2-19. Enterprise A responded with 124-1 in 12.3 overs. Bhaskar Yadram clobbered eight fours and one six in a top score of 71 not out while Kamesh Yadram got 30 not out with three fours. Suresh Chumadath was the lone wicket taker.
