Pursuant to its Constitutional mandate to be of service to the people, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) will commence its Public Awareness and Public Outreach Programme 2015 in Region 3, West Coast Demerara, on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
Residents of Region Three who are desirous of meeting with the DPP to file complaints pertaining to criminal matters can do so on Wednesday March 9,2OLG between 8:30hours and 12:00 hours and 13:00 hours and 16:00 hours at the Regional Council’s Office Vreed-en-Hoop.
The objective of the outreach programme is also in keeping with the DPP’s Office open-door policy to help aggrieved persons around Guyana who find it difficult or are unable to come to the Kingston Office in Georgetown.
During the next three months, the DPP’s Office has planned outreaches to Essequibo Coast, Linden, Berbice, Bartica and its surrounding environs on dates that will be published in the newspapers and broadcast on television and radio.
Previously, the Office held outreach programmes in Region 6 and Region 9.
