Just off her recent success at the National Championships, Edghill defeated Maria Castillo of the University of Wisconsin in the finals 3-0 to avenge an earlier defeat to Castillo in the group matches.
In the group, seeded number one in group two, she lost to eventual finalist, Maria Castillo 3-2, defeated Furuta Mayuko 3-0, Andrea Hoppert 3-0 and Jinvi Humi 3-0 to emerge from the group to the quarterfinals.
In the quarterfinals, she defeated Yan Dan and later went on to defeat Zhang Yixin in the semi-finals before beating Castillo in the final.
