Dear Editor,
According to article 225 (2) “ An officer may be removed from Office only for inability to discharge the function of his Office ( Whether arising from infirmity of body or mind or any other cause whatsoever) or for misbehavior.
It is in the above regard that Mr. Duncan should be made to proceed on Leave pending the outcome of the criminal charge against him before the court.
It is important to note that Mr. Duncan has presided on disciplinary action against several employees that resulted in the employees being dismissed suspended or sent on leave for claim of misconduct. Indeed some of their decision are questionable and may have been over ruled of the appellate Tribunal was functioning. The fact that Mr. Duncan remains in office indicates that certain Laws of this country are not properly enforced or these Laws are lacking.
Separate and distinct from the fact that Mr. Duncan should have done or should do the decent thing- step down pending the outcome of this matter, rather than continuing to embarrass himself and the entire nation. The Authority that appointed him to the several commissions should take necessary and relevant action, since it would appear as though he is above the Law, while others have to abide by same.
