National songs resonated from the National Cultural Centre yesterday as the finals of the
Children’s Mashramani competition continued with choral presentations.
The choir presentation saw students of the 10 Administrative Regions and the Georgetown Educational District performing a national song and a song of their choice.
Region Four placed first, Region Ten placed second, Georgetown District placed third and Region Three placed fourth.
The students from Region Four performed the “Song of the Republic” and “Medley of Folk songs” while Region Ten sang “Guyana the free” and “Kuma Kuma fish.”
Georgetown District sang “Salute to Guyana” and “Little Brown Boy” and Region Three performed “Hymn for Guyana’s Children” and “We Nah Giving.”
