The GUMDAC Annual Open Doubles Badminton Tournament started Wednesday February 17th at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall where a lot of the seasoned seniors players participated and also some amount of the leading Juniors.
In the Men Doubles Event: The top guns of Guyana, Narayan Ramdhani the National Champion, Caribbean No. 1, PanAm No.3 and 53rd World Ranked player teamed up with his long term partner Jonathan Mangra to reach the finals by defeating Avinash Odit and Stephan Muridall 21-8, 21-19 in the Semi finals.
The other Semi finals saw Darrell Carpenay and Marlon Chung defeating Ernesto Choo-A-Fat and Ronald Chang Yuen 21-14, 21-9 to reach the Finals.
The Ladies Round Robin: saw Priyanna Ramdhani & Siya Persaud defeating Gabriella Pertab and Priyanka Shivnauth 21-5, 21-3 to reach the Finals.
The other Semi Finals saw Ayanna Wickham-Watson and Emelia Ramdhani defeating Gabriella Pertab and Priyanka Shivnauth 21-11, 21-14 to reach the Finals.

Men Doubles Quarter-Finals:
Narayan Ramdhani & Jonathan Mangra defeated Tyrese Richards & Josh Oodit: 21-3, 21-9
Avinash Odit & Stephan Muridal defeated Tyrese Jeffrey & Akili Haynes: 21-14, 21-12
Ernesto Choo-A-Fat & Ronald Chang Yuen defeated William Holder & Haymant Ramdhani 21-14, 21-16
Marlon Chung & Darell Carpenay defeated Dr. Harry Gorle & Nanda Kishore: 21-12, 21-14.
The Tournament was due to conclude yesterday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
