Nandy Park and Sand Pipers registered victories when the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association (EBDCA) 50-over tournament continued recently.
At Everest, Nandy Park overcame Uprising by one wicket. Batting first, Uprising managed 239 all out in 40.3 overs. M. Baksh scored 56, H. Pooran 36 and S. Jowahir 33; Yearwood (only name given) claimed 3-49 and N. Dhanraj 2-40. Nandy Park responded with 240-9 in 43.3 overs. B. Shewmangal struck 60, N. Dhanraj 47 and M. Sultan 46. M. Baksh had 3-54 and T. George 2-19.
At Laluni, Sand Pipers beat Silver Bullet by 44 runs. Sand Pipers took first knock and made 227-9 off their reduced 40 overs. V. Rampersaud and R. Ramoo got 51 each as K. De Jonge claimed 3-33. Silver Bullet were bowled out for 183 in 22.1 overs. S. Wong cracked 66, K. De Jonge 41; C. Benn snared 4-30 and O. Sandy 2-25.
