A mother is seeking assistance from the public to locate her 15-year-old daughter who recently ran
away from home.
Aliyah Campbell called ‘Damie’, of Enmore Estate Road, East Coast Demerara, is a student of David Rose Secondary School, and was last seen around midday on Sunday last, wearing a red top, blue jeans and white slippers.
According to the teen’s mother, Samantha Anderson, Campbell left home to carry “something” to her grandmother who lives some distance away.
Anderson opined that her daughter’s decision to run away might have stemmed from a recent argument, where Campbell requested that her mother end the relationship she has with her step-father.
“She want me to move out, she don’t like him because she say that he like talk, but he is our breadwinner,” the mother said.
Anderson said that she received word that her daughter was somewhere in the Albouystown area, and after a report was made at the Ruimveldt Police Station, a rank accompanied her to an identified location where a search was conducted, but this was to no avail.
The mother said that she has already visited the Childcare and Protection Agency where she was advised to have a missing person article done.
