In preparation of the Guyana Cricket Board inter-county under-19 competition slated for April,
the West Berbice Cricket Association has bowled off its inter club competition last Saturday.
At D’Edward, Blairmont beat D’Edward by a massive 221 runs. After winning toss and choose to bat, Blairmont posted 300-7 off their reduced 47 overs. Javid Karim scored 93 runs (12×4, 2×6), Seon Glasgow jr hit 63 not out (2×4,4×6)) and Zameer Inshan 44 )3×4,4×6). Hemraj Heeralall picked up 3 for 47 and D. Phillip 3 for 82.
D’ Edward were bowled out for 75 with Saheed Bushgit scoring 18; Rameshwar Sowaru snared 4 for 15 and Nigel Deodat 3 for 13.
At Bush Lot, Achievers beat the host by 69 runs. Achievers managed 189 all out, taking first strike. Titus Webster scored 57 (3×4,3×6) and Kris Ramnarine 45 (4×4). Zakeer Khan and Imran Khan picked up 3 for 15 and 3 for 40 respectively.
Bush Lot were sent packing for 120 in reply. Yugendra Budhoo got 42 (5×4) and Dinesh Persaud 18; Ramnarine claimed 3 for 21, Christopher Henry 2 for 10 and Randy Wade 2 for 25.
The competition continues today with Blairmont taking on Paradise at Blairmont, Cotton Tree traveling to D’Edward.
