Phantom chalked up 79 games to win the final of the Roy Davis Memorial Dominoes
competition which was contested on Sunday night at Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt. Rage
placed second with 78 and TNT third on 74.
Hugh Gordon and Orin Favourite made 15 each for the winners, while Ron Callendar got 17 and Cargail De Freitas 16 for Rage. Sonia Goodluck and Shawn Morgan were TNT leading players with 15 and 14 games respectively.
Rage won the semi final encounter with 77 games ahead of Phantom 73 and Delta Force 70. Ronald Beharry marked 16 and De Freitas 15 for Rage, Gordon and Leroy Edwards got 16 and 15 in that order for Phantom while William Sargeant made 15 for Delta Force.
Phantom pocketed a trophy and $130,000, Rage took home a trophy and $60,000 and TNT a trophy and $30,000. Callendar was given the player of the final award.
