Michael Persaud struck a fine 85 as Saw Pit SC A Team defeated St. Cuthbert’s Mission by four runs in a T20
fixture played recently at Bel View ground, WBD.
Man-of-the-Match Persaud clobbered six fours and eight sixes as Saw Pit A Team scored 191-6, batting first. Ganesh Pooran and Satnarine Jodah supported with 29 and 23 respectively.
St. Cuthbert’s Mission responded with 187-5. Avinash and Timothy (Only names given) made 47 and 34 in that order. The final of the three-game fixture is fixed for St. Cuthbert’s Mission who won the first encounter on a date to be announced.
Players SC overcame Saw Pit B team by 47 runs at the said venue in another T20 affair. Batting first, Players SC managed 158-6. Jewan Hamid stroked 78 and Terrence Singh 38. Arav Sherif and Vijendra Rajroop took two wickets each.
Saw Pit B team were bowled out for 111 in 17 overs in response. Avenash Ragnauth got 38 while Vijay Rajroop made 13, Ravindra Ramnarine and Krishna Adhin 12 each. Man-of-the-Match Terrence Singh claimed 2-19.
