Gut wrenching, sorrowful wails engulfed at the Georgetown Public Hospital yesterday as relatives
got wind of the news they dreaded.
Minutes after being wheeled into the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital, their loved one died. He had been involved in an accident on the Essequibo Coast.
Dead is father of three, Chrisnauth Kaissinauth, 54, of Queenstown, Essequibo Coast.
The man who has served as a lecturer at the Essequibo Technical Institute for more than 12 years in the technical drawing discipline was reportedly heading home just after 8:00hrs yesterday when tragedy struck.
His ex-wife, Patricia, said that he was heading home to Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo on his red Jailing motorcycle when he was hit by a black car.
Kaissinauth was reportedly knocked unconscious by the car and was rushed to the Suddie Hospital where medical professionals told his relatives that he had suffered a fractured skull and was bleeding heavily.
The man was referred to the X-ray department but according to Patricia hours after no X-ray operator was available at the institution, it was decided that he be transferred to Georgetown.
“We airdashed him to Georgetown hospital but by the time he reached here he was already doing badly but we never expect that he would have die,” his daughter related amidst tears.
Among those who wept uncontrollably at the hospital were the man’s two sisters, Rosanne and Patsy, and his brother Ramkumar Nauth.
Kimberley Crisnauth described her father as a very nice man who always prayed for his family and was very free handed.
“I want the police to investigate this accident because my brother does ride he bike so slow that we used to tell he that he does ride like ah old man,” one of his friends reported.
The driver is in police custody. (Mondale Smith)
