Donates training equipment, balls, branded shirts
Fruta Conquerors FC and National Milling Company (NaMilCo) of Guyana further strengthened their long standing affiliation following the donation of a quantity of training equipment and travelling uniforms by the
latter yesterday, at the club’s Headquarters in Tucville.
The gift which included training vests, balls and branded travelling shirts is a timely one since it will assist the team’s preparations and outfit for the Finale of the Stag Beer Elite League which is set to restart later this month.
Finance Director, Fitzroy McLeod in his remarks said the partnership between the two entities is an enduring one which has lasted over a decade, adding that the relationship has been driven by accountability.
According to McLeod, they share a similar vision to that of the club which is to prioritise youth development and lauded the executive for its unrelenting effort to do so despite the steady challenges they encounter.
He promised the Company’s future assistance to the club in its pursuit of helping its members realise their dreams, adding that they will work committedly with the organisation to make it an even stronger institution locally.
Hafeeze Khan, Public Relations Consultant of the company in his address told the gathering that while the company has always been involved in various sports, it has a special relationship with Fruta Conquerors, referring to the club as “its baby”.
According to Khan, the company intends to ensure the club fulfill its potential and rise to be a giant in the sport. He urged that the executive be recognised for its outstanding work in constsntly striving to upgrade the facility which has become one of the best in Georgetown.
Head Coach of Fruta Conquerors Calvin Allen in his response extended gratitude to the Company on behalf of the club for its sustained support over the years and urged that the union remains strong into the future. Meanwhile, an anonymous donor handed over two refurbished dugouts to the club recently.
