A fine century by opener Reginald Rodrigues propelled Police to a comprehensive 105-run victory over St. Stanislaus, while Guyana Defence Force (GDF) beat St. Stanislaus by ten wickets when the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/New Building Society second division 40-over tournament continued last weekend.
Rogridues struck a fine 143 as Police posted 298-4, batting first at GNIC SC on Saturday before bowling out St. Stanislaus for 193 in 20 overs. Fitzroy Culley had 2-16.
On Sunday at the said venue, St. Stanislaus were sent packing for 116 in 32 overs, taking first strike. Prince Roulf got 50 while Nackeyta Nestor and A. Forrester snared two scalps apiece. GDF responded with 117 without loss in 12 overs. Quacy Mc Pherson slammed fifteen fours and one six in a top score of 64 while Damian Ross made 29.
