Dear Editor,
Please refer to your article in edition of Sunday, January 17, captioned “Rupununi continues to benefit from partnership between IAST and Ministry.” I wish to bring to your attention the fact that the Deputy REO is Mrs. Mildred Akpan and not Maylene Stephens as was reported.
Additionally, the chairperson for the Parisharra Organic Food Processors (POFP) is Erline McDonald and not Arline McDonald. Thanks for your efforts in correcting these misrepresentations for the benefit of your readership.
Carl Parker
Regional Executive Officer, Region 9
Editor’s note: Kaieteur News got its information from the release that came from the Ministry of the Presidency. We suggest Mr. Parker looks back at that statement which contained the original mistakes he is complaining about. Mr. Parker got the caption of our story wrong. It is “Region Nine” not “Rupununi” that is in the title of the story
