University of Guyana (UG) defeated Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) by 24 runs when the Georgetown
Cricket Association (GCA)/New Building Society second division 40-over tournament continued yesterday.
UG were bowled out for 85 off the last ball of their final over, batting first after they game was reduced to 20 overs due to a late start due to overnight rain. Damien Vantull top scored with 35 as Dellon Darlymple picked up three wickets and Floyd Rollins two. MSC were shot out for 61 in 18 overs in reply; no batsman managed double figures. Extras contributed 23; Vantull grabbed three wickets and Darnell Douglas two.
