In an effort to underline his seriousness about realising his dream of developing the Alex Bunbury Sports
and Academics Academy’ (ABSAA) here in Guyana, the Canadian Hall of Fame inductee with Guyanese roots will be bringing in a team of managers who are directly related to the impending Project.
According to a member of the Local Organisaing Committee Charmine Wade, a team of five Project Managers are expected to arrive in Guyana tomorrow to meet with government officials where they will make presentations on the viability of the Academy.
Judging from the respective biographies of the individuals they seem to have a wealth of experience in their particular field of endeavours and appear well equipped to deliver a high quality Academy.
Below is a short Bio of those who’re expected to arrive in Guyana.
Tim Baker – Principal In Charge, Architect at BakerBarrios

With over 27 year of experience, Mr. Baker has the ability to translate Owners’ needs into design solutions that balance creativity, image and function with practical concerns of budget, schedule and operational goals. As the Design Principal, Tim will lead all design studies, including programming, planning, and concept design through schematic design.

BIOGRAPHY
Les has been working as an insurance industry professional for over 30 years. He has vast experience in the life settlements industry and has been involved in the development of valuation, pricing, and financial modeling for the past 11 years. He has been instrumental in the placement of approximately $2 Billion of capital into the purchase of Life Settlement policies. Approximately $7 Billion of face amount of life insurance has been purchased over this timeframe. Of the $7 Billion purchased, approximately $1.1 Billion of death benefits have been collected resulting in over $500 Million of net profit to clients.
Prior to joining the life settlement industry, he has over 20 years in the insurance industry as a consultant and CFO of a large regional insurance brokerage firm. While CFO, he developed several financial models used to track and report the employee benefit claims for insurance clients. An additional component of the reporting software was to predict the future expected claims and project the estimated renewal on their employee benefit coverages.

Paul W. Bowen is Partner at Amrita Financial, Inc. He and brings expertise in both relationship management and marketing and has been privileged to work with many of the nation’s top financial advisors and planning professionals. Mr. Bowen is an accomplished speaker and has conducted seminars and workshops throughout the country. Mr. Bowen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication from the University of Florida. Mr. Bowen earned multiple Varsity Letters and Southeastern Conference Championships as a receiver on the football team.

Meanwhile, Bunbury has already completed clinics in Berbice, Plaisance and Georgetown where in excess of seventy (70) aspiring yopung footballers attended each session.
He is anticipated to visit Linden tomorrow and Lethem on Thursday.
