Parika Salem Sports Club of East Bank Essequibo has extended congratulations to wicketkeeper batsman Kevon Boodie on his selection to the Guyana team to contest the 2016 Regional NAGICO Super 50 Tournament in Trinidad and Tobago.
Kevon has indeed made us proud, being the first player from Parika Salem Sports Club to be selected on a Senior Guyana Team. Although his achievement of being the first and only player in Guyana to score a double century in a Senior Inter – County 50-over match last year was played down, Kevon continued to constantly produce good scores which has undoubtedly resulted in his selection.
Unlike his aggressive style of batting, Kevon is an extremely cool and quiet individual who we are positive will live up to the expectation of discipline on and off the field. We wish Kevon well and hope that he contributes significantly to Guyana winning the Tournament, a release from the club stated.
