Builders Lumber Yard yesterday renewed its long-standing sponsorship arrangement
of distance-athlete, Lionel D’Andrade, who opened his 2016 competition season last weekend with the Bigi Broki Waka second place finish in the neighbouring Suriname.
The lumber yard has been supporting D’Andrade for the last decade as he continues his career as a distance athlete, based in Trinidad and Tobago. Marketing Manager of Builders’ Lumber Yard, Shivani Salim had said that they are proud sponsors of D’Andrade.
“We’ve been supporting him as one of his major sponsors over the years because we believe that he is talented and has a good career. We want to continue to support him since we believe that it is this support that will help him become the best,” Salim had said.
D’Andrade thanked the company for their support over the years, stating that he hopes that their unflinching support continues since his international participation in events wouldn’t be possible without them. D’Andrade is slated to compete again this weekend.
