Dr. Johan DaSilva is A-Class king; John Ferreira tops B-Class
President of the Guyana National Rifle Association (Guyana NRA) and
Chief of Staff of the Guyana Defence Force, Brigadier Mark Phillips, MSM, was on hand to assist in the presentation of awards when the GNRA rewarded members of its Smallbore section for their performances during 2015.
Emerging as the A-Class champion following the completion of the 0.22, 9mm and Action Pistol competitions was Dr. Johan ‘Eye of the Tiger’ DaSilva who accumulated scores of 274-6v in the 0.22; 274-4v in the 9mm and 289-4v in the Action Pistol for a total of 837-14v which meant 100% returns. Ryan McKinnon placed second and Dale Hing third.
Ferreira had a return of 86% in topping his peers in this class, his total of 723-8v was accumulated from scores of 248-7v in the 0.22 shoot, 248-1v in the 9mm and 227-0 in the action Pistol match.
Coming in second was Joshua Ramlakan Ms. Vidushi Persaud followed in third with the fourth and fifth positions occupied by Randy Sarjoo and Murtland Smith.
