Enterprise Road Safety Group helps out Chesire Home again

For the 47th year in a row, the Enterprise Road Safety Association (ERSA) continued the tradition of bringing cheer to the less fortunate of the Chesire Home at Mahaica on the East Coast of Demerara.
The group, which is mainly made of drivers and other motorists who reside in the village of Enterprise also on the East Coast of Demerara, has over the years pooled their financial resources and has been a regular contributor to the Chesire Home every year since 1968 at this time of the year.
President of the body, Chandarpaul Persaud expressed pleasure on behalf of his members for the continuation of the association with the home.

He said that this time around, the donation which consists of toiletries and groceries along with a dinner yesterday evening was bigger than any other year and he assured that it will get even bigger in years to come.
Persaud said that this year, the wives of the organisation’s members also played an integral role in the venture.
He took the opportunity to once again appeal to road users to make this Christmas season the safest in decades by desisting from speeding and driving while under the influence of alcohol.
