The Corentyne region has a long established tradition in the sports of Bodybuilding and Powerlifting, and in recent years some new personalities have been making their appearance in the competitive arena in both sports. The new Tej Mohall Gym at Skeldon on the Corentyne has been one of the gyms at the forefront of this iron revival.
With the establishment of gyms like the House Of Pain at Port Mourant and other gyms, under the instruction of managers like Raheem Alli, Powerlifter Murray from Skeldon and ‘Chicken Boy’, lots of new bodies have been introduced to the bodybuilding scene. These gentlemen have all helped to take the sport to new heights in Berbice.
Flex Night 2015 will see a number of bodybuilders from the Tej Mohall Fitness Centre. Prominent among those are Zallim Bacchus, winner of the recent Mr. Corriverton contest, Alex Hamilton, past winner of Mr. Berbice Flex Night, and Chaitram Nagessar veteran of numerous Mr. Berbice and Mr. Corentyne events.
Fans are promised a major treat on Saturday at the National Cultural Centre.
