Bids were opened yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration (NPTA), under the Ministry of Public Infrastructure. The bids were for the provision of consultancy services for the design of river defence structures for critical sections of the Pomeroon river bank.
There were six companies which bid for this project.
Bids were also opened under the Ministry of Public Security for consultancy services for the design and implementation of a public relations strategy. Consultants from the region, as well as Guyana bid for the project.
Meanwhile, a series of bids were opened for the provision of security services to several government ministries. The first one was the Ministry of the Presidency.
There were also bids for the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA). The contractor is to supply and deliver LED lamps and occupancy sensors.
Finally, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) had bids opened for the reactivation of the Timehri number four well and upgrade booster station.
