UK –trained, Attorney- at -law Ronald Bostwick has been admitted to local practice. His petition was presented before Justice Brassington Reynolds at the Georgetown High Court, last week.
Bostwick, 58, was initially admitted to the Bar in England in 1990. However, being Guyanese and having served as an attorney for many years in the United Kingdom, Bostwick decided to return to his homeland. The lawyer underscored that while his work covers other aspects of the law, he has a special interest in criminal law.
“It is said that crime does not pay but it is the most exciting branch of the law,” Bostwick said.
He noted that his career started at a law centre in the UK—- it included a wide range of legal assistance to the public.
Bostwick was also admitted to practice in Jamaica. After gaining experience in the Island, the attorney returned to England. The lawyer hopes that his wealth of knowledge and experience in the legal field would be valuable to the Guyanese populace.
