Fast bowler Trevon Garraway bagged seven wickets for 22 runs as East Bank Essequibo defeated Leguan by 110 runs on Saturday to book their place in the final of the Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB)/Busta 40-over festival.
Host East Bank posted 218-8 in 40 overs, batting first at Parika Salem ground. Ryan Hercules struck 55, Jason Heyliger 36, R. Hendricks 35 and Sheldon Alexander 21. Kevin Gordon claimed 4-36 and Tulsieram Premnauth 2-33.
In reply Leguan were sent packing for 108 in 27 overs with Garraway doing the damage. Huckumchand Savitir scored 33, Kevin Gordon 31 and Zaheer Razack 19.
East Bank Essequibo will now face South Essequibo in the final on a date to be announced.
