North Ruimveldt, Leopold Street, Shopping Plaza and Sparta Boss were among the teams registering wins when the Georgetown Zone of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Competition continued on Thursday, at
Burnham Court.
Appearing in the opening fixture of the night, debutants Shopping Plaza edged South Ruimveldt 3-2 through a Stephen Dolphin brace and a solitary strike from Rawle Turnell.
North Ruimveldt then beat Young Ballers 3-0, before Leopold Street needled Island All Stars.
Spart Boss then defeated Gold Star 2-0 and the other team to win on the night was Holmes Street of Tiger Bay, who edged Festival City warriors 1-0.
