Why de government decide to make a whole month Road Safety Month and got people now scratching dem head. One week after dem launch de month, people trying to test de safety and end up killing demself. Young men decide to drag race and dem not only killing people but dem killing demself.
Since de month start, bout 10 people dead. Now people frighten to go pon de road because dem don’t know wha happen. People now checking which day dem don’t have somebody dying on de streets. And now it look like if dem don’t use de road, dem using de Harbour Bridge.
Imagine de bridge got a sign that seh no reversing and no overtaking. Dem boys find that people ain’t even listening. A man load up a Canter truck and try to cross de bridge. De Canter so full that a bag of baigan fall off and de man decide to reverse to pick it up. He end up driving overboard and a woman get trap in de truck.
But before that, two men decide to drag race. One clip de other one and de car that get hit knock down nuff people. One woman dead.
Now Rum Jattan got to put police patrols pon all dem road. De previous government had a plan to cut down on accident. It use to put a police outrider at Rosignol and all dem car coming off de boat had to line up. De outrider then lead all of dem to de Abary bridge. Nobody didn’t get in accident.
Dem ain’t got a situation fuh people line up so Rum Jattan got to put patrols pun de road even if he himself got to drive one of dem.
Dem boys also talking bout another thing Rum Jattan got to look at. Dem got people who does hustle gold in de bush pun people claim. That is normal because is only a li’l bit dem hustlers does tek. Well one of dem same hustlers get shot and killed.
But dem boys know that de raiding ain’t gun done so. Is just like dem people who hoping that road deaths gun done.
Talk half and hope that some people get sense.
