The Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) say it has managed to fix a problem which prevented its Prepaid Metered customers from buying tokens.
The state-owned power company explained that on Saturday, the internet connection to its prepaid service system was temporarily disrupted.
“This unplanned disruption rendered our Prepaid Agents unable to generate prepaid juice tokens or redeem prepaid JUICE Cards from Saturday October 24 to Monday October 26, 2015.”
During this period, GPL said that its emergency Call Centre staff assisted in the generation of electricity tokens to those customers who contacted the centre.
“The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) worked assiduously on this disruption and successfully restored the connection at approximately 12 noon on Monday (yesterday).”
