Two goals by the promising Aroydy Branford enabled Guyana to make a positive start against Puerto Rico in the Pan American Hockey Federation (PAHF) Challenge which got underway on Saturday in Chicklayo, Peru.
The Guyanese who fell behind 2-0 after goals from Joseph Agosto (penalty corner) in the 12th minute and Gilberto Monserrate (field goal) after twenty-three minutes rebounded through consecutive efforts from Branford in the 35th and 40th minutes to earn a draw and share the points in their Pool A fixture.
The Guyanese now move on to play Panama in a very important encounter today.
