Transport Sports Club (TSC) chalked up 70 games to capture the Kenrick Fraser dominoes title when the final was contested on Monday night at Dynasty Sports bar, South Ruimveldt.
Rage placed second with 69 games while Saddam finished third on 66. Colin Ross marked 16 and Clifton Nicholls 15 for the winners who drew the bye to the final, Tony Smith and Cargail De Freitas scored 15 apiece for Rage. Gillian Hyman was Saddam’s leading player with 15.
Saddam posted 72 games to win the semi final encounter ahead of Rage 67 and Mo Fire 61. Hyman made 16 for Saddam while Tony Smith and Gilbert Mendonca got 15 each for Rage. TSC pocketed $80,000, Rage $40,000 and Saddam $20,000.
Meanwhile, Mark Wiltshire 20/20 Dominoes tournament will be held on Sunday at Atlantic View bar, Windsor Forest, West Coast Demerara.
Entrance fee is $10,000 and action gets underway at 14:00hrs. The winning team will take home a trophy and $120,000, runner up $50,000 and third place $20,000. Prizes are subject to change.
